Canyon City Alliance Busted by the FPPC
Press Release
December 24, 2010
As a result of a complaint (FPPC Case No. 10/1086) filed by Azusans Against Mining Expansion, Canyon City Alliance, Yes on A, has been reprimanded by the Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC) for failing to comply with provisions of the Political Reform Act. Specifically, Yes on A has failed to identify Vulcan Materials Company as major contributor in their publications. Accordingly, Yes on A must include a phrase "major funding by" or "paid for by Vulcan Materials Company" on all printed material. The FPPC has ordered Yes on A to "immediately cease publishing any advertisement that does not include these requirements." In addition, they must "provide explanations or proof of amendments as required...no later than December 29, 2010."
